Just wanted to talk about internet safety this week, and share some simple advice to keep you safe:
– Remember not to share passwords with people or be tricked into sharing answers to security questions, no-one needs to know your mothers maiden name or your first pets name.
– Keep information private: Look at your settings on social media applications and consider what you are sharing and with whom.
– Stay safe on the move: Be aware that when you are out and about joining WiFi networks that they might not be safe and might be designed to capture information from you.
– Online reputation: Anything you send or post online is potentially shared forever. Make sure that something you say or post doesn’t cost you a job or your reputation in the future. Or that something you share with an individual is later used to bully you into doing other things. If you wouldn’t want your loved ones to see it or read it, maybe you shouldn’t post it?

I would also like to draw your attention to the VI Form Exams Timetable 2022 which is available on our website. Your teachers will start to prepare you for the journey towards these exams, please engage with them. Being properly prepared builds confidence and is the best way to ensure that you get the most successful outcomes.
