The move up to Secondary School is huge; there’s no doubt about it. Not just for the student themselves but for families too. However, we want to reassure you that as soon as your place is confirmed here at Medina College, we are here to support you every step of the way. We work closely with the primary schools to ensure a smooth handover and that we get to know your child prior to their arrival in September, so we can really hit the ground running.
We welcome the opportunity to speak to parents and carers throughout the spring and summer terms. We also organise visits to meet each and every student at their primary school, not just to welcome them but to also answer any questions they may have. The aim is to soothe any anxieties they may have and to share the excitement of joining our wonderful community.
We look forward to opening our doors in the summer term for our Transition Days, where our new year group will spend two days familiarising themselves with our site, the teachers and their new peers.
On behalf of our community, I would like to offer the warmest welcome and to say we can’t wait for you to join us!
