On Tuesday students from Medina College played against our sister school Carisbrooke College, in the Year 10 IOW Secondary Schools Boys Football Final, or as we call it the Federation Derby! Both sets of players were looking forward to playing their match on the lovely 4G pitch at Cowes Enterprise College.
The game itself was very even with Medina scoring first, thanks to the goal machine that is Will B. Carisbrooke fought back and equalised shortly before half time.
The second half saw the teams well matched, with both teams playing well; however Medina scored again, with a decisive goal from Will B, as he found some space in the box to strike into the corner. Carisbrooke began applying pressure but a great save from Logan kept Medina ahead. A breakaway ended in another goal by Will B to complete his hat-trick and seal the win and the cup for Medina!
