Royal County Show 2023

Earlier this month, our iGCSE Agriculture students were invited to participate in this year’s Royal County Show in Cowes. Over the two days, our students were involved in leading and showing sheep and cows in the show ring, as well as promoting the iGCSE agriculture course at the Medina College stand. They even met Alan Titchmarsh, famous gardener and TV Presenter!

Working with the general public and farming community, our students represented themselves and our College wonderfully, setting the very highest of standards. It was a great opportunity to put their learning into practise and helped to build the students’ confidence.

Course Leader for agriculture, Miss Lloyd, said “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students and we are very grateful to Graham Biss, Chairman of the County Show, for inviting us to take part. I am so proud of all of the students on the agriculture course and how much they have learnt in this first year.”

We very much hope to be back at the show next year with the 2024 cohort of agriculture students!
