We welcome applications to The Island VI Form from students attending all secondary schools across the Island and beyond. You can apply to join us from November 2020 and we would like as many applications as possible returned to us by the end of March 2021. We will still accept applications after this date, but your choice of subjects may depend on availability. Your application will be acknowledged and you will then be invited to attend an interview with the Head of School, either at The Island VI Form or your own school. This will be an informal chat about your plans and what you would like to study. It is also our first chance to get to know you. Following your successful interview, we will write to you with an offer of a place. Provisional course choices will be subject to your GCSE results.
Entry requirements into The Island VI Form are a minimum of five 9 to 5 Grades (or equivalent A*- C Grades) at GCSE for A levels/Level 3 courses. Most subjects also have specific entry requirements which are listed in the entry requirements document below. If you do not meet these requirements, an interview will be necessary with the subject leader and parents or carers to determine your suitability for the course and a trial period may be agreed.
The Island VI Form welcomes students with disabilities who have access to the mainstream curriculum and VI Form facilities. The VI Form has partial disabled access, including lifts and toilet facilities for the disabled.
All applicants are subject to the same entry requirements and will be assessed on an individual basis at interview and enrollment. No priority is given to students from any particular school.
