Dear Parents, Carers & Students,
Thank you to everyone who took part in and ran the testing this week and thank you for your patience, over 400 tests were carried out over the 2 days. We have had no positive cases.
Test result notification: If you do not receive a text to say that your child/you are negative over the period of the day the test was carried out, you should not be concerned. The NHS do not guarantee a negative test result text, they only say that a positive will be sent. Therefore, with increased demand across the country, the negative test result texts may not be as reliable. You will be contacted by NHS text and by us within an hour of a positive test.
Next test: We will be delivering NHS test cards (with a barcode to link each test to each student) to students in lessons, who then go and get their test upstairs in S1, if they wish. The large majority of students have consent in place and have already had their first test. Consent can still be given and testing carried out next week. Please follow this link to complete consent (if you haven’t done so already). Please ensure that the Consent form has been completed by a parent or carer, in advance, by following this link: Student Lateral Flow Device Testing (google.com)
If you are away or have any issues, please contact reception. 3 tests need to be completed before home testing can start, more details will follow.
Rules / start times: These haven’t changed, except the guidance is to wear a mask at all times, apart from when eating and drinking. Remember to socially distance, wash hands, follow one-way systems, keep to designated areas, follow start times …
Attendance: If you are absent you must contact us and let us know and let us know why. We have to do returns for the Government, so it is vital that you communicate with us and let us know: firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing you next week, keep calm and stay safe.
