On what was a lovely Wednesday afternoon weather-wise, the cricket did not disappoint! Medina batted first but lost both openers early to TIFs fast opening bowler. However this brought captain Fergus and George to the crease! These 2 batted superbly hitting numerous boundaries and showed good understanding with some quick running between the wickets. They both scored 25 and retired not out. The next batsman to score runs was Isaac who batted well on his 1st game for the school team. Medina finished on 90 for 5.
TIFs were restricted early on by some tight bowling and committed fielding with Oscar getting a wicket. Zack kept wicket bravely with some fine stops. However TIFs batted patiently and attacked later on in the innings. TIFs needed 6 from the last over and scored the winning runs with 2 balls to spare.
A thrilling encounter with some excellent cricket played in great spirits. Well played both teams!
