IW Festival Documentary

Get the red carpet ready! The Medina College Film Club were poised, cameras in hand to capture all the action of festival weekend, as part of their documentary.

The group (which meets every Friday after school) explores how to make your own films by demystifying the production process. Covering everything from stop motion animations, music videos, to dramas, even deconstructing how blockbusters are made, and how to steal their camera work.

The club were lucky enough to have a backstage tour of the artists village, check out the SkyArts set, and get a personal tour of the main arena before gates opened. They also interviewed some of the hottest local acts performing on the main stage, as well as some of the key people behind the scenes that come together to make the festival.

A massive well done to all of the students for capturing some amazing coverage, and a huge thank you to Isle of Wight Festival Ltd for accommodating us. The documentary is currently being edited and will be available on the website soon – watch this space!
