25 March 2022

I would like to start this week with a reminder about the Year 9 virtual Parents’ Evening, which is next Wednesday, 30 March between 4pm and 7pm. Letters and links to the system have been sent home. Thank you to all of you that have booked appointments already. If you have not yet done so, then please do book them as it is especially important to have these conversations because of the KS4 Pathways process that is currently underway.

We are very much looking forward to the Federated ‘Treasure Island’ performances next week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which are being held at Carisbrooke College. Thursday is the performance where the Medina College students will be taking the lead roles. If you have not yet bought tickets and you would like to, then please do so through School Gateway, It promises to be a fantastic evening.

Easter revision sessions for Year 11 are being planned and information will follow next week regarding what is on offer. As always, please encourage your child to keep on top of their revision. The more good habits they can get into now, the easier it will be for them once the exams start. It is equally important to make sure that students who do feel anxious and revise a lot, also take time out to do something different that they enjoy and find relaxes them.

Finally, a huge well down to our Year 9 basketball team who played brilliantly and won the IW Basketball Tournament held at Medina on Wednesday. They went unbeaten winning all seven of their matches. More details will follow on our social media and website.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
