23rd April 2021

It has been another successful week in school.

Extra-curricular clubs have started again, which are being run in a COVID secure way, in line with our own procedures and wider Government guidance. It has been a very welcome return and both the students and staff have very much enjoyed being able to start this again.

We have some exciting developments happening in the traditional main entrance/reception area here at Medina. This area of the school has been overdue some attention, and the plans in place will modernise the welcome and experience that visitors will receive. It will also involve a separate entrance for students, which will support the monitoring of students arrivals to school after the start of the school day. It is currently in the early stages, but work has begun and I look forward to giving you updates as we progress.

I know that Year 11 have been working hard, but please remind them that five more days have passed, so they need to be continuing to focus on their learning and contributing to the evidence necessary for their teacher assessed grade.

Please continue to follow the COVID guidance: wash/sanitise your hands regularly, wear a face covering where advised, maintain social distancing and open windows for ventilation.

Have a good weekend.
