Dear parents and carers,
Firstly I would like to say a huge thanks to you as parents/carers for the support you give your child generally and specifically this past term. It has been the most unusual of my teaching career to date and the pressures and stresses felt by you as parents and carers must have been immeasurable so thank you for helping to get your child here each and every day. Attendance of students at Medina College has been better than the National average so it shows me that you trust us and feel that your child is safe here. My thanks for this trust.
I will be sending you a letter later this afternoon with some information for contact tracing over the Christmas break. Additionally, the Government have, last night, issued us all with a challenge to run things differently in the first week we come back after the New Year. I will be sending you another letter over the Christmas break about the return in January. It is important you read both of these letters and take account of the information and changes that they set out.
This last week of term we have had celebration assemblies which have been a joy and congratulations and well done to all the students who have done so well this year. We have to keep reminding ourselves that in this weird and unusual time learning is key for the future success of students. It is what we are here for.
Best wishes from me for a safe and happy holiday.
