This week, Year 9 have been exploring design elements from our new scheme of work “The Great Wave”. The play tells the story of a young Japanese girl who gets swept away and lands in North Korea. The play develops to show her family’s fight to try and find her.

Students have taken to this very well, contributing well thought-out and mature ideas to the story’s themes and ideas, while also producing some lovely performance work. 

We wanted to share some of their set and costume designs that we thought were brilliant!
